Sitting on the hill just above the glass shop, pottery studio, and our residence, our guest house is a sweet and modern space. Built in 2023, this clean, cozy, and bright abode boasts a spectacular view of the Black Mountains.
Guests are greeted by an open floor plan. The house features all-new appliances, ensuring convenience and efficiency. The bedroom, adorned with a queen bed featuring a premium natural latex, organic wool, and cotton mattress, guarantees a restful night's sleep. For additional sleeping options, a loft with a roll-out floor mat is available.
Our guest house is not only Green Built, but also Energy Star certified. Thanks to Equinox Woodworks for this beautiful build. The house draws power from the glass shop, which is powered in large part by our solar panels. A healthy, environmentally-friendly space is important to us. We use organic and eco-friendly products wherever possible, from towels to sheets to cleaning materials and trash bags.
The spacious porch has an excellent view of the Black Mountains. Enjoy the lounge chairs or the picnic table and take in our beautiful spot. For those returning from Penland classes or exploring nearby swim spots, we have an outdoor shower.
As our guest, you have access to the entire house and the surrounding area. We ask for your understanding in keeping our home, situated down the hill, as a private space.
