Fall 2010

July 19th, 2010 Fall 2010

Greetings!
What a wild summer it has been. John and I traveled to Okinawa for my solo show at Ryubo. It was an amazing trip- we saw loads of pottery, ate exceptional food, and had a successful show. We’re back now, and in the studio filled with new ideas of pots to make for the fall.

This fall I will be showing at the Bakersville Creekwalk. This is a one day (Saturday September 25, 2010) show about 3 miles from my house. My husband (John Geci) will also have a booth.

October 9th and 10th I will have my work at the Spruce Pine Potters Market. This is really our area’s best show of pottery. I am always proud to do this show!

October 21st to 24th is the Southern Highlands Craft Guild show at the convention center in Asheville.

I was invited by Kyle Carpenter to be in the “Asheville in Atlanta” show at Mudfire Gallery. The show opens October 9th.

It has been a hectic spring here on Snow Creek Rd. As the weather gets hotter I’m busy shipping pottery to Okinawa for my opening at Ryubo Gallery. My opening is on July 20th and I am lucky to get the chance to travel there.

Meanwhile I am experimenting in my studio with new forms. You will be able to see my work this fall at the Spruce Pine Potters Market, October 9th and 10th.
I will be showing at the Fall Southern Highlands Guild Show in Asheville, October 21st to October 24th.

Wow, 2010 is flying by already! Things here at the pottery have been really exciting. John and I have been building my studio! It looks great, and I can’t wait to move in.

My spring is shaping up to be a busy one. John and I are both doing Craft Boston April 9th to 11th. This is our first time doing a retail show in New England- we hope you’ll come see us!

April 17 and 18 we will be at the 4 Bridges Art Festival in Chattanooga, TN.

The Toe River Arts Council Spring Studio Tour will be June 11th to 13th this year. This is the best time to come to our place, see our work, and enjoy the beautiful mountains we live in.

A couple weeks after the Studio Tour we leave for Japan! My opening at Ryubo Gallery in Okinawa is July 20th. We are planning to be in Japan for about three weeks, and are looking forward to experiencing all kinds of wonderful and strange new things!

Hope to see you this spring!
