Here’s a shot of my husband @jgeciglass sampling the go

Here's a shot of my husband @jgeciglass sampling the goods by Nate @knifeforkandspoonnc . Nate Allen of Knife and Fork is so much fun to work with- and the food is always so delicious. If you haven't already, you need to eat there. And I love this simple star platter! I'm guest hosting @potsinaction this week- head over there to check out this week's challenge: #PIAplatters.

Hey friends! I’m guest hosting @potsinaction this week.

Hey friends! I'm guest hosting @potsinaction this week. Give them a follow- this week I'll be showing some sweet platters! ・・・ In this bountiful season, in both Northern and Southern hemispheres, North Carolina potter, Courtney Martin @courtneymartinpotter, dishes up #PIAplatters! She brings with her a long history of making instantly recognizable abstract and compartmentalized serving dishes large and small. She's collaborated with chefs and has thought about the interface between food and ceramics for many years. Courtney writes, "I am obsessed with making platters- so much space for pattern.  They are great canvas’ for all kinds of decoration.  And I love the drama that happens when a huge plate of food is presented to people!  This image is of a meal made at Knife and Fork by chef Nate Allan @knifeforkandspoonnc and served on my platter (@courtneymartinpotter). Nate and I have collaborated on food in my vessels for a while now, and I love how he uses them.  That fish was delicious! Can’t wait to see what you are serving up this week for #PIAplatters" Also a huge thank you to Kristen Kieffer @kiefferceramics for a fun week of #PIAdots!!
